SR. HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST

Senior Human Resources Generalist needed for a large manufacturing company in Knoxville, TN.  Salary range is $60,000 to $70,000.  This role will have the opportunity to eventually promote into the Human Resources Manager position.

Job Description:  Responsible for building a high-performance culture and comprehensive HR leadership of the business strategic plan through effective management of all human resources functions including engagement programs, talent acquisition, benefit administration, compensation management, training, performance management and policy administration.

Essential Functions:

  • Spending quality time on the manufacturing floor to engage with employees and managers to drive a positive culture and work environment.
  • Working with department managers to create strategic initiatives.
  • Hiring new employees and building a talent pool of qualified candidates.
  • Leads all human resources activities to maximize employee engagement and operational effectiveness.
  • Creates and deploys an annual engagement action plan focused on safety, relationship building, recognition and personal development.
  • Responsible for workforce optimization through effective recruitment, training and development.
  • Leads employee communication and company information updates.
  • Develops policies and practices to ensure compliance with all legal and corporate requirements.
  • Leads all performance management activities and corrective action processes.
  • Responsible for compensation and benefits maintenance including plan administration for self-insured medical plan.
  • Handles and investigates complaints and reports of policy violations.

 

Education: Bachelors degree in HR/OD or a related discipline

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years in the human resource field
  • PHR/SPHR certification preferred
