Sr. Electrical Controls Engineer needed for a small manufacturing company in Knoxville, TN.  Salary range will depend on experience.  First shift.  

Job Description:  Senior Electrical Controls Engineer responsible for Designing and Programming PLC controls (Allen Bradley Studio 5000), and Robotics (ABB & Motoman).  Working with various types of automated systems.  Troubleshooting electrical control problems and identifying correct solutions.  Working with team of Engineers to come up with ideas and solutions for projects.  Complete automated system design and development.  Meet with clients to identify the clients requirements and help design process and product to meet client specifications.  Responsible for Panel layouts, Electrical schematics, PLC, and Robot programming.  Successful candidate will also have basic Mechanical Engineering knowledge.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.  Will consider years of experience and training in lieu of degree.
  • 7-10 years of Electrical Engineering experience
  • PLC programming
  • Programming Robots
  • Strong Control programming and design.
  • Strong AutoCAD Electrical background
  • Motion Control (Robotics, Servo, etc.)
  • Strong background in designing Electrical Control Panels
  • Machine Design and Build experience.
